Employee Children's Day at Bauer: Learning, marveling, playing

Schrobenhausen, Germany – On the Bavarian holiday known as Buß- und Bettag (a day of prayer and repentance), children are happy to have a day off from school. To make sure that they don't get bored at home – and so that their parents don't have to worry about their care – BAUER AG has been organizing a special day for employees' children for several years. This year, around 90 boys and girls had the opportunity to experience a special morning and get to know their parents' workplace.

The organizers of the day have once again put together a varied program that gives the children insights into company life in addition to games. The discovery tour across the Bauer company premises started in the morning with ten groups, divided according to age. In the IT department, the children were amazed by the huge server room; in the Group Communications & Marketing department, they learned how important communication and advertising are for a large company.

The training workshop was particularly exciting, where skill was required: the children mastered a tricky task with nail and thread. In the Old Welding Shop, several large play stations and a film screening awaited the young guests. In between, everyone was able to enjoy a well-deserved snack.

One of the day's highlights was the tour of the Aresing plant, where the children were able to experience the huge machines and machine parts up close – a real adventure! After lunch, the day came to an end at around half past one – almost like after a normal school day.
