Digitization of construction site processes: BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH and abaut GmbH agree on cooperation
Schrobenhausen, Germany – BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH and abaut GmbH have recently agreed on a cooperation. "We are very pleased about this, because Bauer Spezialtiefbau is one of the most innovative companies with worldwide references for the construction industry," said Sebastian Kaluza, Managing Director of the Munich-based SaaS Contech startup abaut GmbH. And Florian Bauer, who is responsible for digitization on the Executive Board of BAUER AG, among other things, confirms: "In abaut, we have found a partner who supports us strongly in the digitalization of our construction sites.”
The construction industry is facing growing data streams generated on construction sites during the execution phase. There is enormous potential in these data streams, but they usually consist of different data formats. Bundling, combining and subsequently analyzing these data is a major challenge. This often leads to the formation of data silos, which cause the loss of valuable information and knowledge about the construction process.
The cooperation between abaut GmbH and BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH aims to close this gap by enabling the abaut platform to create a digital twin of drilling and other processes on construction sites by collecting, combining and analyzing different data formats.
"For us, process or condition recognition through image recognition is also of particular interest. The process data generated here is a very useful supplement to our portfolio," says Marcus Daubner, Head of Digitization at BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH.
Following the principles of Lean Construction, the digitized processes can now also be used to visualize the effects of each anomaly in relation to the overall picture. In this way, not only the efficiency of individual processes, but also of the entire construction site can be continuously optimized in the future.
