Long Night of Training attracts many visitors

Schrobenhausen, Germany – The Long Night of Training at BAUER AG was once again a great success. Around 300 students, some of whom brought their parents, took the opportunity to find out about the wide range of training opportunities in the BAUER Group on Friday evening.

The visitors followed the specially designed tour through the Bauer Training Center. They were able to get involved themselves at numerous hands-on stations, which many enthusiastically took advantage of. Particularly popular were the modern CNC milling machine, where the young people could engrave their names in a bottle opener, or the VR glasses, which were used to simulate the control of a drilling rig.

In a short presentation, Training Manager Gerhard Piske gave an overview of the training process and the range of apprenticeships offered by Bauer. At the Schrobenhausen site, the company currently offers apprenticeships in 16 different occupations – and next year there will be even more.

A regular feature of the program this year was the equipment demonstration in Aresing. For many, the highlight of the event was getting a close-up look at a large rotary drilling rig.

Other highlights included the wheel of fortune and the prize draw. The draw for the main prizes was eagerly awaited. The Bauer apprentices in the training workshop had made the chess set with its metal figures and the shiny sunflower, making the prizes very special.
