BAUER AG: Preliminary business figures for 2021 are in line with the last issued forecast

Schrobenhausen, Germany – According to the preliminary business figures available as of today, BAUER AG has achieved the last issued forecast ranges for the 2021 year. The total Group revenues increased, while EBIT decreased.

In the financial year gone by, the BAUER Group was still burdened by the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on business in the Construction and Equipment segments. This was particularly true for the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, there were significant delays at some individual major projects in Europe.

As a result, on November 2, the Group needed to adjust its forecast for the 2021 financial year and since then has expected total Group revenues of between EUR 1,530 million and EUR 1,570 million as well as EBIT of between EUR 35 million and EUR 45 million.

Based on the preliminary calculations currently available, which have yet to be audited, the BAUER Group achieved total Group revenues for the 2021 financial year of about EUR 1.54 billion (previous year: EUR 1,453.6 million) and EBIT of about EUR 36 million (previous year: EUR 55.5 million) and is therefore in line with the last issued forecast.

At the present time, due to a considerably improved financial result, earnings after tax are in the slightly positive range after a value of EUR -8.2 million in the previous year.

The order backlog of the Group continued to perform very well, preliminary at approximately EUR 1.36 billion at the end of 2021 (previous year: EUR 1,162.5 million). The increase is attributable to all three segments.

The complete and audited business figures for 2021 as well as the forecast for the 2022 financial year will be published on April 7, 2022.
